Pumpkins with my Punkin'

Trick or Treat...
There was no trick in this treat. This past Saturday
Ash, Scott and Mabry
drove up for a day at the Pumpkin Patch. What a treat!

Pretty much since she was 18 months old Mabry has had this thing for tractors. She loves 'em...so today was particularly great in the John Deere department. I mean, come on', mini tractors and the 'real deal' big ones all in one place with all access granted...too fun!!!

Hmm...which one shall I choose?

Tractors big and small, pumpkins short and tall, bales of hay for fun tumbles and falls...

This year at the Pumpkin Patch was an absolute ball!!!

Girls' Night Out

This past Saturday was Jenn's Surprise Bachelorette Party!
The plan worked out perfectly since most of the husbands of the gals at our shindig were on their own Boys' golf weekend.

We all met at the The Harbor at Rockwall to surprise Miss Jenn. She thought she was going for a walk with her fiance, but nope, much to her surprise there was a boat full of friends waiting to celebrate her!
We set sail on this really neat catamaran for a sunset cruise. The weather was uhhhmazing. We celebrated with champagne and snacks and had the best time.

Next, we headed over to Gloria's for a delicious dinner. Kudos to Amy and Kristen for their impeccable planning. The catamaran was docked at The Harbor, which was in walking distance to dinner at Gloria's, which sat on the water at The Harbor. Talk about party planning perfection :).

After dinner everyone walked to Jenn's condo (it's also perfectly located on The Harbor) for all of the fun "girlie" stuff that goes along with bachelorette parties.

It was a fun, hilarious time with a great group of girls!
Girls' Nights Out are the best!!!

There's No Place Like Home

So, I am always up for some fun travels, but sometimes it just feels good to be back home.

Jordan and I headed to Waco this past Tuesday to drop of our child..ehh..dog before heading to Austin early Wednesday a.m. to catch our flight (that we seriously thought we were going to die on) to Las Vegas. We went out there for a an incentive trip that Jordan's work was hosting. It was a blast...the Bellagio, a little spa time, shopping, deelish meals, great shows, etc...
it was such a great, albeit quick trip.

We were back in the air Friday and returned to Austin. We headed straight from the plane to dinner in Temple (yes, we changed clothes in a Jack in the Box along I-35) for my bro-in-law's birthday. Again ,deelish food, but at this point Jordo and I were reaching near delirium from lack of sleep. After dinner we drove back to Waco and literally crashed as soon as we got to my parents' house.

Saturday a.m., hubby was up and outta there for a boys golf weekend. Getting tired yet? I headed North up I-35 for a Bachelorette Party (no rest for the weary). We both had a great time at our Guys' and Girls' Nights Out (pics to come later).

So, as you can imagine, when I finally pulled back into our driveway Sunday afternoon, after having been in far too many places in too few days, it felt SO good to be back home. Couchtime and napping for the entire afternoon ensued...much to my desire :). Hubby was not far behind...and the siesta was on!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend, too!!! What did y'all do?

Have you met my husband, Bob Villa?

Who knew my man was so darn crafty?!?

Jordan's been slaving away laying hardwood floors in our home office. We had carpet in there and decided to change things up a bit.

I am sooo impressed with his handy-man skills.

Hmm...that gives me an idea....I suppose now I can add a few more "involved" tasks to his honeydoo list, ehh??

Ha! Ha! I am only kidding :). I love you babe! Keep up the awesome work!

More pics to follow of the final product!!

Happy 2nd Birthday to Sophie!!!

New pics from this year...Sophies's 2nd Birthday :)

Yep, I busted out the Birthday Girl Bandana again!

The B-day Loot. A gal's gotta have a Cowboys'esque jersey!

Post disclaimer: I do not have children yet, therefore Sophie is on the receiving end of all things related to nurturing, nesting and mothering.

Below are some pics of Sophie's 1st Birthday last year.

I was told by hubby that a cake and gifts would not be accepted this year on her 2nd birthday, because, and I quote, "she is a dog babe, you know that, right?"

Umm, yes, thank you Einstein, I know she is a dog....but she's my dog!!!

More pics later of how I chose to interpret his birthday stipulations...

Saints, Frogs, Bears, Panthers and Cowboys!

This weekend was a great time spent with the hubby!!!

Friday night we hauled it all the way to Rockwall (something like 60 miles) to watch the Harvest Christian Saints take on Rockwall Christian. Ahh, I love going to highschool football games. It sure does bring back the memories, albeit cheesy memories :) Way to go Cash! You had a great game!!!

Saturday morning continued the football trend with our nephew, Peyton's, game. Their team is called the Killer Frogs and man, lemme tell ya, they were killer Saturday a.m.. Our niece Laurel, is one of the cheerleaders for their team, too. So, it's super fun to go see them both be such super stars! They are too cute!!! Oh yeah, and way to go Peyton! He scored a TD! Victory for the Killer Frogs! Woo Hoo!

Immediately following that we headed home to cheer on those Baylor Bears. Eeeehhhh, Sic 'em Bears! They did a great job, but in the end just couldn't pull it off against #1 OU. It was still a great effort though!!!

Saturday night was Jordan's 10 year highschool reunion. He graduated from Pantego Christian Academy, home of the fightin' Panthers. We really did have a blast! I had such a good time getting to meet all of Jordan's old school peeps. Thankfully, I didn't hear any shocking "remember when" stories or learn of any previously unknown, attention-grabbing nicknames Jordan forgot to mention. Whew! You never know with him.

Sunday afternoon we headed to Jordan's parents' for some burgers and Boys. Way to go Cowboys on snagging another W...although I must say, it was a close one for a while there. But we pulled it out in the end!!!

So, clearly, it was your typical fall weekend filled with football for all the ages. Pee Wee, Highschool, College and Professional, we covered 'em all. It's a good thing I'm a fan, or I might never see my hubby ;).
Hope everyone makes it a great Monday!!!
