Inch by inch...

So I am 29 weeks this week and have been feeling pretty good.

I am definitely feeling a bit large and in charge, but I know that it is to be expected and that i ain't seen nothin' yet.

Thankfully, it hasn't been too warm yet, so although I am getting bigger by the week, swelling hasn't been too big of an issue yet. Key word here being yet :).

I am more importantly thankful that I seem to be progessing as Dr. W thinks I should. I had my 29 week doc visit yesterday and everything with baby looked good. His heart rate was 154BPM. He is head down. Part of me says "yay! please stay this way!" and the other says "ouch, little guy you're really pressing down hard on all of mama's downstairs areas". Doc says I am actually measuring one week ahead. Jiggahuh? Let's hope little mister stays put and doesn't try to get ahead of himself in the coming weeks.

I am now an every-2-week-go'er, which is just absolutley nuts to me! Where, oh where, hath the time gone?!?!

Inch by inch....my belly is expanding

Inch by inch...the nursery is coming together

We still have quite a bit of work to do in the nursery, but have been waiting on the glider and dresser (which are both different hues of blue) to get in before we select wall color, etc. I know Jordan is sad and just itching to get his paintin' pants on. Ha! Ha! Maaaaybe a little sarcasm in there :).

A fun note, this weekend is one of our showers and I am really, really looking forward to it. Although in some ways it feels like I have been pregnant for ages, at the same time I sort of can't believe it's already time for showers and 2 week doc appointments.

On a random note, I found myself getting rather sentimental the other night (hormones much? nahh!) as the hubs and I were wrapping up a nice weekend that consisted of plenty 'o down time, couch time, take out dinner, church and errand running and CPR/safety class.

As absolutely and completely stoked he and I both are for little man to get here, at the same time all we've ever known is life as the 2 (now 3 with Sophie) of us. Every new parent says you can't remember what it was like pre-baby, and what your lives were ever like before your child. But, still being on the "other side" right now, I am sort of wondering and sad about losing such cherished quality down time with my main squeeze.

Ahhh....the random sentiments of a preggo chick. They truly do baffle me sometimes.

Okay, so I will wrap up after that most random tangent.

Details and pics of this weekend's shower to come next week.

'Til then, have a great weekend and let's hope these crazy storms they are predicting come and go without too much incident.

One, two, three, four...

....I couldn't imagine loving anyone MORE!!!

Thank goodness for the mandatory attendance policy at Baylor, or else I'd never have been able to snag this hubby of mine. We shared speech class together - and both actually went. That same spring semester he with his friends and me with my gal pals all went with 65 of our closest friends (ha! it was insane!) to Mexico... and the rest is history.

After four years of dating and now four years of marriage, I cannot believe how far we have come, the fun and trouble we've gotten ourselves into and out of, the memories we've made, the struggles we've shared, the triumphs we have celebrated and now now the little family we are growing. Good grief, I am going to sound old here, but... oh, how the years go by!

Here's to many, many more April 22nd's shared with my favorite, forever friend!!!

Love you babe!!!
